Here at Glengarry Early Learning Centre, we are a team of dedicated professionals who believe in empowering each child through play.
We promote each child’s unique individuality to thrive in our nurturing and inclusive environment which promotes all backgrounds. Glengarry Early Learning Centre strives to meet each child’s diverse needs through play, exploration and learning. We have created a safe environment for our tamariki to be stimulated through creativity, risk taking and supported learning. We encourage and nourish our tamariki competency and emotional wellbeing through respectful reciprocal relationships within our community.
We view all our tamariki as Tangata Whenua o Aotearoa. We know they are our future kaitiaki of Aotearoa, and strive to guide them into developing a life of sustainability. By guiding our tamariki on the pathway of being guardians of our land, we build foundations of whanaungatanga and manaakitanga – of which our tamariki are encouraged to develop kindness, empathy and inclusiveness to our mind and body, our land, and our community.
Tamariki at Glengarry Early Learning Centre are encouraged to take leadership towards their own learning at their own pace. Our kaiako work alongside tamariki through calm, respectful and loving interactions. We empower our tamariki by ensuring they are heard, make their own choices and given all opportunities irrespective of gender, age, ethnicity and background. Our tamariki are encouraged to choose their pathway of learning in an environment which is set to build upon holistic foundations. Glengarry Early Learning Centre tamariki are always uplifted in success in their lifelong learning journey.
